This ten-day course is designed for international participants selected by their governments to be trained as instructors. The participants are trained in principles of adult learning, basic instructional methods, strategies, techniques, and technologies. The course includes developing lesson plans, training aid design, selection and usage, achievement testing, and test design and use. Participant classroom presentations are included for practical application of knowledge and skills learned. Subjects include presentation skills, assessing the training need, instructional techniques, understanding the adult learner, developing lesson objectives, measuring student progress, using media, and practical exercises. Participants demonstrate an understanding of course content through a variety of individual exercises and group activities.
