| This course is designed for Maintenance and Avionics ASIs with responsibilities for Parts 121 and 135 ETOPS operators and potential ETOPS operators. The purpose of this training is to provide the Airworthiness ASIs knowledge of extended operations (ETOPS) maintenance programs in order to perform effective certification, and oversight of Parts 121 and 135 ETOPS operators. The course topics include ETOPS background, philosophy and regulations; methods for obtaining ETOPS authorization; requirements for ETOPS authorization; ETOPS validation and approval processes, evaluation of ETOPS maintenance programs; and oversight of ETOPS maintenance programs. | |||
