(22800015) AIR Flight Safety Officer: External Safety Stand Down (SSD) Training
COURSE 2022-11-09
A safety stand down promotes knowledge-based aircrew safety training along with personal discipline and responsibility as essential elements of aviation safety and aviation professionalism. The objective is to improve aviation safety standards and sustain positive changes within the industry by promoting programs which include tools to fight human error in aviation through individual actions and personal accountability. The primary responsibility of the Aircraft Certification Service (AIR) Flight Safety Officers is to promote a positive safety culture throughout the organization. The SSD supports this task by keeping FSOs abreast of current safety issues and the state of the art in Safety Management Systems, and continued reinforcement of the critical role FSOs perform. Target Audience(s): Designated Aircraft Certification Service Flight Safety Officers are required to attend this training. Non-AIR personnel can contact an external vendor directly for this training.
