The Assessment and Planning Tools (APT) is a web-based software application suite of tools used by AFS ASIs and field offices to define their work program. It exists to perform two major functions; planning and assessment. - The planning function primarily is contained within the Planning Module (PM). - The assessment function has three components: the Repair Station Assessment Tool (RSAT), Risk Management Process (RMP and the Outsource Oversight Prioritization Tool (OPT). Flight Standards offices and Aviation Safety Inspectors use the APT to define and construct a work program for the upcoming fiscal year and to modify or retarget an existing work program throughout the year. This course is intended for: - Existing users of the Assessment and Planning Module (APM) client (desktop) version who are transitioning to the APT web-based version - New users of the APT web-based version This course covers the Planning Module, RSAT and RMP. Students should already have assessment skills of how and why RSAT is completed. This course does not cover: - Outsource Oversight Prioritization Tool (OPT) functionality - Ad Hoc Reports - Policy or applicable business processes
