This web-based course covers differences between DO-178B and C so that ASEs can assess applicants' adherence to DO-178C and DO-330 for software assurance. It includes on-line lessons and instructor-graded assignments. MATERIALS: You must provide copies of DO-178C and DO-330, available at www.rtca.org. There is no charge to RTCA member organizations for electronic copies. FAA may log in with an existing individual account or follow instructions to create a new one. DO-178B, 331, 332, and 333 may be useful. Method of instruction include lecture, student participation, practical exercises, collaborative discussions, and tests. AUDIENCE: FAA AIR ASEs experienced in DO-178B or C and FAA software approval policy and guidance. Length: 20 Hours.
