This presentation will give an overview of the responsibilities of the Merit System Protection Board (MSPB). The speakers will also provide an update and examination of significant federal case law, with a wide range of topics of interest to human resource practitioners, employee relations specialists, and agency representatives. The discussion will encompass the most influential decisions that shape considerations impacting adverse and performance-based actions, appeal rights, and other matters. Moreover, the presenters will discuss best practices and pitfalls to avoid when preparing to defend a case at the MSPB.
