This ACEPS II Phase 1 course is designed for Technical Operations Technicians, Engineers and FAA Academy support personnel (AMA-900). This course is FAA Academy Resident Instructor-Led Training (ILT) in Oklahoma City, OK. The ARTCC Critical Essential Power Systems (ACEPS) Type ll Phase 1 course is 162 hours lecture and 150 hours lab. Lecture subjects include: safety, 125VDC control power system, electrical mechanical circuit breakers, protective relays, auto & manual transfer, Eaton 9395 UPS modules, continuous duty static switch, L3 static switch, critical power centers & emergency critical & essential system restoration. Lab subjects include: safety, PCMS and HMI operation, Square D test kit, NW breaker preventive maintenance, Square D Power-Zone 4 and QED-2 switchgear, Micrologic Trip Units, Protective Relays, CM4000T Power Quality Meter, AT controller, automatic & manual transfers, commercial power failure, Eaton 9395 UPS, calibration, leg power modules checkout & test, static switch, critical switchgear operations, CPCs, emergency system restoration & troubleshooting. Testing for this course is completed using Blackboard.
