This course is Module 4 of the Common Principles Course, and is on the 6-Step Troubleshooting Process. This process provides basic troubleshooting techniques that can be applied across all disciplines (Radar, Automation, Communication, NAV Aids, and Environmental). The 6-Step Troubleshooting Process will be introduced and applied in classroom and lab troubleshooting exercises. The troubleshooting exercises are performed using Multisim and the ELVIS bread board and various types of test equipment. The problems relate to and include Module 3, Basic Electronics Principles and Test Equipment. There is one written exam (counting 30% of the final module grade) and one performance exam (counting 70% of the final module grade). The grades for these exams are averaged for the final grade for Module 4.
