This course provides Core Maintenance training for Hardware and Software Specialists on Wide Area Multilateration (WAM). The course is 26 hours Academy Lecture and 54 hours of laboratory that include performance training and evaluations. Lecture subjects include the overall view of the system, Maintenance Display Terminal (MDT), Multilateration Theory, Remote Units (RU), Reference Transmitter (REFTRAN), The Central Processing System (CPS), Communication, Air Situation Display (ASD) and WAM System Maintenance. The lab provides experience in Maintaining, Removing, Replacing and Configuring LRU Components. There is one final written exam which covers the lecture material.
