This web-based training course will provide instruction on the fundamentals of Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) for Airway Transportation System Specialists (ATSSs), system managers, system administrators, external FAA customers, Technical Support Specialists, and Engineers. Course topics include: power problems, purpose and function of the UPS, system topology, operation of the static UPS, modes of operation, transfer modes, system configurations, FAA orders and maintenance manuals, performance checks, technical performance reports, IGBT fundamentals, and pulse width modulation (PWM) theory.
