Overview of the WARP Monitor and Control course. This course provides knowledge of the Graphical User Interface (GUI), menus, screens, and alerts. The briefing provides information to monitor and identify equipment problems by using drill-down features. The drill down feature provides detailed information used for identifying and resolving the issues. The briefing provides the helpdesk contact information in order to report system problems and return the system to operational capacity. It also provides knowledge of the Graphical User Interface (GUI), menus, screens, and alerts. The briefing provides theprovides ECP 01 SMG overview, WSR-88D overview, differences between Optimal Mosaic and SMG, technical limitations, and improvements. The training describes the way RAMP processes WSR-88D reflectivity data to make precipitation mosaics. The primary objective of this course is to provide overview training to the Air Traffic Controllers in order to better understand and interpret weather products to improve common situational awareness to increase airspace capacity, efficiency and safety. Also, to provide better understanding of radar mosaic products that are displayed on Controller displays.
