This training workshop provides guidance that managers should follow for filling entry level through L-band vacancies. The intent is to follow a fair process that supports getting the best qualified person selected, while complying with Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Merit Principles, FAA Human Resource Policy Manual (HRPM) guidelines and protecting the agency and managers from potential litigation (1). In conjunction with the FAA Human Resources Policies, refer to the appropriate Collective Bargaining Unit Agreements (2). Additionally, this workshop will guide managers through the process of conducting candidate bid package review to include (KSAs and Leadership Dimensions), candidate interview performance, candidate 2nd interview performance, supervisory endorsement, selection, and closeout. It also identifies key roles and responsibilities in the process and is intended to augment HRPM policies. | |||
