| To refresh students who have successfully completed an initial Emergency Response training. Course covers responding safely to basic chemical emergencies by reviewing key training topics, reviewing critical safety skills and presenting any new HazMat procedures and information. Meets annual refresher for Emergency Responders required under 29 CFR 1910.120(q) and 8 CCR 5192(q). Evidence of completing a HazMat Technician course is required. This course provides an annual refresher for Emergency Responders required under 29 CFR 1910.120(q) & 8 CCR 5192(q) regulations. Course topics include chemical and physical hazards review, personal protective equipment (PPE) field safety, response actions, reporting requirements, and chemical handling. Emphasis is placed on problem solving, field operations safety, decisionmaking, and incident logistics. | |||
