| The ASSC equipment provides controllers with a picture of the airport surface in all kinds of weather. In this course the student will learn about ASSC technology, how to use the ASSC technology such as the ASSC Display Control Bar (DCB). It is an equipment upgrade to the ASDE-X system. This course provides the knowledge and skills air traffic control specialists (ATCS) require to operate the ASSC System and supervisors/controllers in charge require to supervise ASSC operations. The course consists of computer-based instruction, classroom instruction, and hands-on exercises on ASSC equipment. | |||
