This course is designed for personnel conducting procedure development or needing related knowledge to accomplish ancillary tasks associated with terminal flight procedures analysis. Information is presented relative to area navigation (RNAV) criteria, procedure segments, obstacle clearance, airspace, descent gradients, related mathematical computations and other related documentation. This introductory course focuses on RNAV flight procedures and serves as an alternative course to FAA15300050. Please note that ground based flight procedures such as VOR or ILS and advanced space based navigation (RNP & RNP-AR) are taught in separate courses.
