ASR-11 Course 40691001


This 35 day (280 hours) course provides training for Technical Operations technicians, engineers, and specialists on the Airport Surveillance Radar-11 (ASR-11). This course is 124 hours Academy lecture and 156 hours Academy laboratory.


Given references, the student will be able to operate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair the Airport Surveillance Radar (ASR) -11 in accordance with the FAA Order and Technical Instruction Books (TIBs).


This course provides training for electronic technicians and engineers responsible for operating, maintaining, and certifying/verifying normal operation of the ASR-11.

Prerequisites: Radar Concepts and Fundamentals, Course 40688001, Fiber Optic Concepts, Course 40158001, Secondary Radar Principles, Course 44320001
