ARTS IIE for Technicians Course 40474

DESCRIPTION

THIS COURSE IS FOR TO TECHNICIANS ON THE ARTS IIE. THE COURSE IS 80 HOURS ACADEMY LECTURE AND 80 HOURS ACADEMY LABORATORY. LESSONS WILL COVER SEVEN MAJOR COMPONENTS OF THE ARTS IIE SYSTEM. TOPICS WILL INCLUDE DECODING DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM (DDAS), SYSTEM MONITORING CONSOL (SMC), PC, ARTS GATEWAY (AGW) PC, SYSTEM PROCESSOR (SP), DISPLAY, OPERATIONAL SOFTWARE (OPS) AND SYSTEM DIAGNOSTICS. LABORATORY EXERCISES ARE DESIGNED TO FOLLOW THE LECTURES PROVIDED WITHIN THE CLASS AND SHALL INCLUDE SETUP AND CONFIGURATION, MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES, SOFTWARE UPDATES, AND TROUBLESHOOTING. MULTIPLE EXAMS TOGETHER MAKE UP THE ENTIRE COURSE.

OBJECTIVES

Given references, the student will be able to operate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair the ARTS IIE System in accordance with the FAA Order and Technical Instruction Books (TIBs).

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This course provides training for electronic technicians and engineers responsible for operating, maintaining, and certifying/verifying normal operation of the ARTS IIE system.
